As we are aware that around 70% of India’s population lives in rural areas with inadequate access to health care. In addition this vast majority is served by only 30% of medical professionals. There is thus a critical shortage of healthcare resources, in addition to prohibitively high costs of providing healthcare in these areas. IKure is a social enterprise that meets this gap through an innovative model that delivers affordable and quality/accredited healthcare to remote rural areas through its chain of primary health clinics, using a unique technology platform.
Employing teams of doctors, nurses, coordinator from MPH back ground, pharmacists and community health workers, iKure operates a hub and spoke clinic model, creating a significant and measurable direct impact on the target population. The hub clinics are connected through the technology with the remote spoke clinics, as well as to larger metro hospitals to provide medical care.
