Who We Are
Cisco Tetration is focused on providing a security solution to protect customer workloads whether they are running in data centers, in the cloud, or a hybrid of both. Tetration gives customers a unified platform to monitor workload activity and identify the activity patterns to build Application Dependency Maps. Building upon this information, Tetration allows customers to enforce security policies as close to the workloads as possible, in order to achieve micro-segmentation and zero-trust security.
We build high-performance, secure and lightweight software agent running on Windows, Linux and AIX. The software agents are responsible for collecting a rich set of information on the servers, including network traffic and system activities such as processes and network connections. The agents are also responsible for enforcing the policies defined by the central controller onto the workload.
As an integral member of the software agent team, you will be closely involved in product development cycle from conceptualization to deploying in production environments. You will be embedded within cross-functional teams that include network engineers, big data engineers, data scientists and UX/UI engineers. Specifically, you will be in charge of assessing and ensuring the quality of the agent running on the workloads. It is highly recommended this to be done by an automated and reproducible process, which you will have to define, maintain and enhance. System-level manual testing of the solution is inevitable and necessary. We need you to acquire a system level knowledge of our solution, because we will need you to help us validate and correct our proposed or existing feature from a user perspective. Once such expertise is acquired, you will also have a chance to work with the teams who are helping customers to deploy and validate our solution.
You must be a self-motivated, passionate and curious team member who enjoys defining and maintaining the quality of complex software systems and developing an expertise on a product end to end. You embrace agile methodologies that involve rapid prototyping by feedback gathered from customers, peers and technical support engineers.
Must have at least fours years experience in the software product cycle
Must have experience writing automated test cases
Experience with scripting languages, such as Shell/Powershell
Solid understanding of TCP/IP stack, Security (SSL/TLS/IPSec/Crypto/Authentication) and Firewalls (iptables/ipset/Windows Firewalls) concepts
Windows’ systems knowledge is a plus.
Experience with Windows and Linux servers
Experience working with QA and SW teams
Comfortable with Golang and Python
Ability to work remotely independently while being in frequent contact with other remote peers
#WeAreCisco, where each person is unique, but we bring our talents to work as a team and make a difference powering an inclusive future for all.
We embrace digital, and help our customers implement change in their digital businesses. Some may think we’re “old” (36 years strong) and only about hardware, but we’re also a software company. And a security company. We even invented an intuitive network that adapts, predicts, learns and protects. No other company can do what we do – you can’t put us in a box!
But “Digital Transformation” is an empty buzz phrase without a culture that allows for innovation, creativity, and yes, even failure (if you learn from it.)
Day to day, we focus on the give and take. We give our best, give our egos a break, and give of ourselves (because giving back is built into our DNA.) We take accountability, results-oriented steps, and take difference to heart. Because without diversity of thought and a dedication to equality for all, there is no moving forward.
